A licensed civil engineer, Gary Wynn gained his skills in the industry as a city Building Official, Public Works Engineer and Planning Director for the City of Palos Verdes Estates. He also served as a Project Manager overseeing the design of difficult residential, commercial, and land development projects.

Acquiring Wynn Engineering from his father in 1993, Gary used his experience in the public sector to develop the company; adding a structural engineering division and increasing the scope of civil engineering services. He also expanded the business to Los Angeles, including the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Malibu and the West Side while continuing to provide services in the San Diego County area.
